Brady’s injured finger not ready to throw

It remains unclear what was happening among the New England Patriots. Several key defensive players were sent home and starting quarterback Tom Brady seemed not ready to practice yet, listed on practice reports with injuries to right finger, right shoulder and rib problems.


But none of the listed reasons was serious enough to prevent the quarterback from putting on his Patriots jersey and throwing a 58-yard touchdown pass to Randy Moss on the first series of last Sunday’s 22-21 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Despite an arm injury, Brady did not miss a play and finished 19 for 29 for 352 yards and two touchdowns last weekend.

The Coach kept silent on the reasons for sending players to home or keeping quarterback out of practice. And Brady’s response was a smiling, some kind of gesture showing his happiness after his wife gave birth Tuesday to their first son.
