The Dolphins cling to only the faintest playoff hopes going into Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Crowder being hurt on the second play in last Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans, the Dolphins missed as many as 10 tackles in the first half alone, falling behind 27-0, giving up 306 years in the first half, and losing the game eventually at 27-20.
Crowder, a fifth-year starter, ranks fourth on the Dolphins with 52 tackles. With a contract that will keep him through 2010 season, he may return well enough to help the Dolphins for next season. But for this season, veteran Reggie Torbor will play in his position for the remaining games.
