Titans and CB Harper begin contract negotiation

Turning 36 year old in 2010, cornerback Nick Harper is also turning into an unrestricted free agent but it is very likely that he could remain a cornerback wearing the Titans jersey as the team has begun talk with his agent, Ian Greengross about new contract.


“We are talking, so we’ll see,’’ Greengross told the Tennessean. “I’ll put it to you this way: Mike Reinfeldt and I did talk about Nick’s future with the team and Mike said that Nick played very well before his season was cut short by injury, that he did a good job. You can read the tea leaves however you want from that.”

As the talks just began today, we cannot expect any imminent deal to be done but at least there is a start showing the team’s intension to keep the cornerback with them although Harper ended the 2009 season on injured reserve because of shoulder surgery.
