Rookie Redman help Steelers beat Cardinals 20-10

In the preseason opener the Pittsburgh Steelers played against the Arizona Cardinals, undrafted rookie Isaac Redman made good performance after the starters for both Super Bowl teams left the field and helped the Steelers win over the Cardinals.

It was rookie Joe Burnett who scored the first touchdown by intercepting a pass by third-teamer Brian St. Pierre. He then returned it to the Arizona 3 before the third quarter ended. Redman scored the second. Seven minutes after Steelers No. 3 quarterback Dennis Dixon started an 80-yard drive, Redman scored on a 5-yard run.

Steelers Ben Roethlisberger and Cardinals Kurt Warner each played two series and neither produced a point. Warner completed six of 10 passes for 53 yards for Arizona, and Roethlisberger completed four of six for 33 yards for Pittsburgh. And Cardinals’ only touchdown was scored by fourth-string quarterback Tyler Palko, who made a 20-yard pass to Onrea Jones.Write For Pay
